Week 4 is here and the Chicago Bears are on their way out to the East Coast to face the New York Giants. Can Justin Fields rebound from last week’s crummy performance? Can the team’s run defense contain Saquon Barkley? We’re about to find out and here are our picks for the matchup between the 2-1 teams.

Will DeWitt (2-1) — Bears 20, Giants 16

With another winnable game, the Bears will find a way to end up on top. They’ll lean on Khalil Herbert to take advantage of another susceptible run defense. Don’t forget that the Bears’ second-half defense has been lights out, too. A prolific run game coupled with strong defensive play has been a winning formula, and there’s no reason to expect that to change or for the results to be any different.

Mark Carman (2-1) — Bears 22, Giants 21

Justin Fields leads a late scoring drive to tie it up. The Flus goes for 2 and the Bears walk out of New York a thrilling 3-1.

Greg Braggs, Jr. (2-1) — Bears 23, Giants 20

I really did some soul searching as I’ve picked the Bears to win every week. Almost picked the Giants but their OLine got rocked on MNF and the loss of Sterling Shepard hurts them. Khalil Herbert continues to shine but I still have alot of concerns with Justin Fields. Let’s hope he can finally break out.

Adam Hoge (1-2) — Bears 24, Giants 20

Both teams should be able to run the ball in this game, but I think the Bears’ emphasis on takeaways/ball security wins out. The Bears actually have a lot of players playing well right now. If the quarterback can just show any improvement, they should be the better team.

Nicholas Moreano (1-2) — Bears 27, Giants 23

The Bears and the rest of the world saw how much pressure Daniel Jones was under on Monday Night Football against the Cowboys: 24 total pressures — the most in the NFL this season. The Bears only registered one sack against the Texans, so this is a good opportunity to inflate the stats. Also, Justin Fields gets out of his own head and makes some big throws to help the Bears win their third game of the season.

Carmen Vitali (2-1) — Giants 23, Bears 13

I don’t want to bet against the Bears but apparently they win when I do so, you’re welcome? Really, I think this comes down to Saquon doing Saquon things against a struggling Chicago rushing defense that’s letting up an average of 157 yards per game on the ground.

Corey Wootton (3-0) — Bears 24, Giants 17

Offense relies on the running game with Herbert as well as Fields scrambles. Getsy game plans some short and intermediate throws to get Fields confident. The defense plays well finally stopping the run and puts pressure on Daniel Jones resulting in a defensive score.

Kevin Kaduk (2-1) — Giants 21, Bears 15

I’m worried enough about the passing game that it gives me pause about picking the Bears on the road, even against a crummy opponent like the Giants.

Jake Flannigan (2-1)  —  Bears 31, Giants 17

Years from now, fans will recall the first road win for the 2022 Bears as “The Fields Game”. QB1 shakes off his slow start to light up the Giants with four total touchdowns.
