LAKE FOREST, Ill. — For the Bears – and everyone – it’s quickly on to Week 7.
Playing on Thursday night will do that.
“This week in particular, you got to turn the page extremely quickly,” coach Ben Johnson said on Tuesday.
So let’s get right to it. Here is my five takeaways column with the Bears hosting the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.
1. The billing that the Caleb Williams-Drake Maye matchup will get for Thursday night feels like a long time coming for the Bears.
The Patriots are familiar with such matchups. They had Tom Brady for years.
The Bears?
Well, they’ve tried and tried. And then tried and tried again.

Williams is different, though. He’s a hit.
