The 1991-92 Chicago Blackhawks will hold a special place in my heart until it stops beating. This was the season I went from liking hockey and the Blackhawks to falling head over heels for both. I was in the seventh grade when this team grabbed my imagination with a brash cast of characters full of swagger.
I wouldn’t be writing this from the CHGO office if not for this unforgettable run, so I’m dedicating a season-long retrospective to my favorite team of all time. Whether you lived and died with every game this season or weren’t even born yet, I hope you enjoy this series celebrating the 35th anniversary of the 1991-92 season.
