LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Bears backup quarterback Tyson Bagent’s personal experience with Lambeau Field and Green Bay has been limited to watching from the Bears sideline and dealing with the elements.
That’s about to change significantly in Week 5.
The forecast calls for a beautiful fall day.
“My experience is it’s been cold,” Bagent said Wednesday at Halas Hall. “We’ve played there late in the season since I’ve been here. It will be pretty warm on Sunday. So I’m sure the weather will feel a lot different.”
The big question, though, is how different he will play in his second start for coach Ben Johnson, especially playing on the road against the rival Packers.
Will he heat up?
This is where this week’s takeaways column begins.
1. The Bears’ rivalry with the Packers – and all the banter that comes with it – might be overshadowing the most important storyline of the week at Halas Hall: Tyson Bagent should play even better.

What will Shemar Turner’s role be? I picture him as the mirror image of Dayo. Dayo is an outside player who thrives inside with pass rush. Turner is an interior guy who can flex outside. That said, we haven’t seen a lot of Turner, but it’s good to get another piece on that D-line.

AuthorHe’s definitely one of the players that Johnson was kind of hinting at where the team needs to make a decision. There is a role for him.
