LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Everything about Jahdae Walker’s touchdown catch in August on Field 4 of Halas Hall was worth celebrating early in training camp. 

It came during an end-of-game situational period.

Tyson Bagent fit his throw into a tight Cover-2 window between defenders.

And Walker made the catch despite hands, arms and bodies flying in front of him.

Then he danced. 

“That’s just me,” Walker said. 

But he did it because of quarterback Caleb Williams. 

Walker spun the ball in the end zone and did his slide step dance around it. 

“We just try to make practice as fun as possible,” Walker said afterward. “Caleb was talking to us. He was like: ‘Every time we score, just celebrate.’ So that’s what we tried to do.” 

And that’s what everyone did. 

Walker’s teammates – including many not involved in the actual play – ran up to him to celebrate what just happened. The receiver was engulfed in joy.
