On the morning of June 5, the Cubs president of baseball operations sat in the third base dugout and made a prescient statement about Alex Bregman.
“Water finds its level,” Hoyer said.
At the time — more than two months into his first season in Chicago — Bregman was struggling with only 5 homers, 19 RBI and a .359 slugging percentage.
