I can’t help but recall how little Loveland, Burden, and Monongai contributed during the first half or so of last season. I’m not sure if that’s because the offense takes time to learn or the rookies need to earn Ben Johnson’s trust, but I would not expect any of the draft picks on offense to contribute right off the bat. I’m optimistic that we’ll see why these players were drafted by the end of the season. I have a feeling Jones will be the first to emerge, followed by Roush and Thomas. It’s also why I’m excited for year two of the 2025 draft class. Player development takes time.
