Great perspective from the coach. Straightforward message and clear-eyed assessment of the various roster questions we have as we get to the draft. I didn’t love the picks of Loveland and Burden in real time, but definitely grew to appreciate them over the course of the season.

I hope we take that approach again this year. The draft is the time to get the best young talent in your building that you can get, regardless of position. Yes, I would like to see a combination of Edge, DT, LT with the first three picks or so, but Safety, CB, Linebacker and even RB should be in the mix if a special player is there.

I haven’t been this excited about a new season since 2019. That turned out to be fool’s gold with a GM/coach combo that was in over their heads. I don’t get the sense that is the case here. Poles/Johnson aren’t taking wild swings and hoping for the best, they are continuing to add to a foundation. Good stuff Jahns!
