The Chicago Bears will almost certainly never ask for my help in hiring a head coach. Perhaps that’s wise. 
On the other hand, maybe they should. This will be Bears president and CEO Kevin Warren’s first coaching search with the team. It will be general manager Ryan Poles’ second. His first one lasted less than 48 hours. 
For me, it will be the fifth Bears coaching search I’ve covered. And I’ve seen some things: A Canadian Football League coach hired over the reigning NFL Coach of the Year. A consultant arranging a marriage between a 37-year-old first time GM and a 60-year-old head coach getting his third opportunity.
