It seems a day can’t go by without me writing about why the Chicago White Sox having a bunch of catchers isn’t a bad thing.
Not even a week after acquiring a package of prospects headlined by 22-year-old catcher Kyle Teel in exchange for Garrett Crochet, the White Sox got themselves another backstop, bringing in 29-year-old big leaguer Matt Thaiss in a trade with the Crosstown-rival Cubs, this one only costing them cash considerations.
