The Chicago Blackhawks lost their second straight game – and seventh of their last eighth – falling to the New Jersey Devils 4-1. The Hawks had a 1-0 lead going into the third period but gave up four unanswered goals to New Jersey. Drew Commesso made one of the best saves of the year on Erik Haula in the second period but then allowed four goals in the third period. The Blackhawks scored the first goal of the game for the 19th time this season but could not find a way to add on, hitting posts and crossbars several times in this one. Jason Dickinson was the lone goal scorer for Chicago, his sixth lamplighter of the season. Frank Nazar finished with one shot on goal. Connor Bedard had two shots on goal and two giveaways.
