Rōki Sasaki might not come to the White Sox, just remember it’s not all about the money this time

DALLAS – Let’s call this my bad, folks.
Apparently I didn’t do a good enough job explaining the Rōki Sasaki situation – or just wrongfully assumed everyone knew what it was already – because the social-media reactions to me sharing the news that the Chicago White Sox would be making a presentation to the hotly pursued Japanese pitcher did not display much understanding.
“We plan on putting together a presentation for Sasaki,” Chris Getz said Wednesday at the Winter Meetings. “He’s obviously a very sought after pitcher. We’re going to get a crack at it and see if we can convert.”
And laughter ensued.
