Dick Allen, who played for the White Sox in the 1970s, was elected to the Hall of Fame

DALLAS – The Chicago White Sox can count another Hall of Famer among their franchise legends.
Dick Allen only spent three seasons on the South Side, but he undoubtedly made a mark, playing for well loved teams in the early 1970s and earning big honors for big offensive numbers. He was an All Star in all three seasons and won the AL MVP in 1972, his first year with the team.
Now he’s heading to Cooperstown, elected to the Hall of Fame via the Classic Era ballot on Sunday night.
