SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- On Friday, Thomas Brown said his Bears team had to match the aggressiveness the 49ers embody in all three phases.
The Bears did precisely the opposite in the 38-13 loss to the 49ers at Levi's Stadium. Kyle Shanahan's offense started the game with scoring drives on four of the team's first six possessions – one of which was a kneel down at the end of the half. While the 49ers scored three touchdowns and a field goal in the first two quarters, the Bears offense struggled to move the ball.
Chicago finished the first half with 34 total yards on 17 plays. Caleb Williams was sacked four times for a loss of 30 yards. The offense had four three-and-outs.
