The Chicago Blackhawks wrapped up their quick two-game road trip in the Pacific Northwest with a 4-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks. They have now lost 10 out of the last 11 games against Canucks, including six in a row.
The Blackhawks were able to withstand a strong start by the Canucks, who were beaten 5-2 by the New York Islanders the last time out. They started to take over once they got through the first six minutes. Ilya Mikheyev, who had been scratched in the previous two games, scored against his former teammate. Nick Foligno drove the net, and Mikheyev put home the rebound for his second goal of the season and first with a goaltender on the ice.
