The old adage “That’s why you play the games” was in full effect Sunday night as the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Minnesota Wild 2-1 in overtime. The Blackhawks entered the game with four straight losses on home ice, while the Wild were off to a fabulous 10-2-2 start. Not only did the Blackhawks snap their losing streak at the United Center, but they beat Minnesota for the first time since 2019!
The Blackhawks spent half the first eight minutes of the game on the power play but could not take advantage of it.
