The Rockford IceHogs spent their weekend north of the border in Winnipeg, taking on the Manitoba Moose in a pair of matinees. Saturday’s contest started slowly as the IceHogs found themselves down 2-0 after the first period. They bounced back by scoring five straight goals en route to a 5-3 win, their first road victory of the season. The offense couldn’t find its groove in Sunday’s rematch, as the IceHogs lost 3-1 to the Moose despite getting 31 shots on goal.
