The clock is running out on the Chicago White Sox manager search.
That’s not to say there’s any real deadline as Chris Getz looks to get this hire absolutely right. But the general manager pegged late October or early November as when he expected to have a new bench boss in place, and as you can see by all the Halloween decorations in your neighborhood, it’s getting to be that time.
You would assume that Getz would want his skipper hired and introduced by the time he heads to the GM meetings in less than two weeks, perhaps illuminating how soon an announcement could come.
And it’s right now that he might have been waiting for to truly finish this process up.
