NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana — The 2024-25 NBA Season is finally underway, and despite the New Orleans Pelicans missing star Zion Williamson (illness), freshly signed wing Trey Murphy, and with Dejounte Murray playing through what is feared to be a broken hand through parts of the second half, the Chicago Bulls open the year with a 123-111 loss.
Here are the biggest storylines out of the first game.
Lonzo Ball officially returns
Though he played 30 minutes over the final two preseason games, this was the first regular season action for Lonzo Ball in 1,013 days when he originally injured his knee on January 14, 2022.
