Exclusive: Josh Giddey opens up about losing confidence, social media backlash and his upcoming contract

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — Following a challenging third season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Josh Giddey's confidence hit a low point. As his rookie extension loomed, he struggled to perform in a role that wasn't suited for his skill set. He lost his starting job during the Thunder's Playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks and then got traded to the Chicago Bulls only to face social media scrutiny.
But after playing with his native Australia in the Olympics and becoming a foundational piece of the Bulls youth movement, he has regained his swagger and is looking forward to a productive season.
