The Rockford IceHogs kicked off the 2024-25 American Hockey League (AHL) season in grand fashion Saturday. Not only did they beat the Grand Rapids Griffins 4-1, but they looked good doing it while wearing their new all-black “Screw City” uniforms.
As we’ve talked about all summer, the IceHogs' roster is full of recent Chicago Blackhawks draft picks who will hopefully have prominent roles in the NHL for years to come. Those players mainly led the way versus the Griffins on Saturday.
