Hello, hello, Chicago Cubs fans. Welcome back to the CHGO Cubs Weekly newsletter.
The Cubs have made things interesting to start the final month of the season. A sweep at the hands of the Cleveland Guardians just a few weeks ago felt like a real setback, but the Cubs then rattled off wins in 12 of their next 15 games. Their odds to make the playoffs had grown to 6.7 percent after finishing off a sweep in Washington on Sunday (according to FanGraphs), which was their sixth 'W' in a row.
