Bears Things: Caleb Williams off to a smooth start

Good morning, Bears fans!
Through two days, Bears training camp has felt more like an extension of OTAs rather than the start of a grueling preseason. We shouldn’t necessarily be surprised, as the Bears are receiving bonus practice time for participating in the Hall of Fame Game on Aug. 1. With no pads and no fans in attendance until Friday, head coach Matt Eberflus is treating it as such.
Hopefully by this weekend, the pads will be popping and the fans will be cheering, but in the meantime, we need to take these practices for what they are: sped-up walk-throughs.
