CHGO Cubs Weekly: Looks like Ethan Roberts will get another big league shot

Hello, hello. Welcome back to the CHGO Cubs Weekly newsletter.
The Chicago Cubs could use some help in a bullpen without many reliable options and which had the No. 23 ranked ERA in baseball (4.39) heading into Monday.
It looks like a "new" arm could soon get that shot, as the team announced Sunday it had selected Ethan Roberts to the 40-man roster and optioned him to Triple-A Iowa.
It's been a long time since Roberts threw a pitch at the major league level. In fact, he hasn't appeared in a game for the Cubs since April 29, 2022.
