Good morning, Cubs fans.
Let me just put this disclaimer here at the top: Michael Busch still has a long way to go before we anoint him as the Cubs' long-term first baseman. Mid-April in what should end up being his first full season in the big leagues is not the time I'll be looking at his situation with any certainty.
Busch has looked great, for sure. But we're only 15 games into the season. Not only is there still a lot of baseball left to be played this year, but there's still a lot of baseball left before he proves he'll be this team's first baseman for years to come. You just can't establish yourself in the majors this quickly.
