The Chicago White Sox were unable to take advantage of a rookie pitcher making his first career start. Sawyer Gipson-Long was spotted 3 early runs and was able to hold the lead. Eloy Jimenez batted in a run with an RBI Double and Luis Robert Jr. drove one in with an RBI Single. With the loss, the Sox lose the series to Detroit, their 4th-straight series loss. In other White Sox news, Michael Kopech was scratched from his start and will instead be used as a relief pitcher for the remainder of the season. Will that be his role in 2024?
