The Chicago White Sox got arguably their best outing from a starting pitcher this season but still fell in the rubber match versus the Seattle Mariners. Lance Lynn struck out a franchise record-tying 16 batters which also represented a career-high. Lynn was lifted in the 8th inning in favor of Reynaldo Lopez, who allowed his inherited runner to score along with 2 more runners to put the game out of reach for the Sox’ offense.
