After falling in Game 1 of the doubleheader, the Chicago White Sox came to play in the nightcap. Lucas Giolito pitched 6 no-hit innings before giving way to the bullpen. Jake Burger provided all of the offensive support the Sox needed, via a 3-run homer that was the hardest hit home run by a White Sox in Statcast history. The no-hitter ended in the top of the 8th when Brandon Marsh lined a double into left field, but the lead was safe to stay.
