The 3-6 Chicago Bears are hosting a second straight home game at noon on Sunday when the 2-6 Detroit Lions roll into towns.

Can Justin Fields and the rest of the team finally put everything together for their first win at home since September 25 against the Houston Texans?

Here’s how we see things playing out …

Will DeWitt (5-4) — Bears 31, Lions 24

Justin Fields is coming off back-to-back games with a passer rating of 100+ for the first time in his young career and there’s no reason to expect things to slow down this week against a Lions’ defense that gives up the fourth-most passing yards and passer rating per game. The Bears should be able to put up points, but will their defense make enough stops to get the win? I believe so! The Lions don’t have the weapons that we saw last week against the Dolphins, but Detroit could pound the rock and run up and down this defense, which could end up being a problem. Regardless, the Bears will play a more complete game as Fields continues his ascension and the Bears will end their losing streak on Sunday.

Mark Carman (5-4) — Bears 24, Lions 23

Two of the the worst defensive teams in the NFL and the number has sat at 48. That is suspicious. I am taking the under and I am taking the Bears to slow down the Lions rushing attack buoyed by the improved play of undrafted rookie Jack Sanborn who was singled out by Defensive Coordinator Alan Williams for his performance against Miami. Equanimeous St. Brown bounces back with a couple of key catches with his brother on the sidelines and Cairo Santos remains perfect on the year adding in the game winner.

Greg Braggs, Jr. (7-2) — Bears 34, Lions 30

Fields has taken an enormous leap! I’ve been celebrating all week, personally. This is the biggest question that needed to be answered in Year 1 of the Poles/Eberflus Era. I expect another shootout on the Lakefront but this time the Bears on the winning end. This has the feel of a trap game, similar to the Washington game but the Bears have shown consistency the last few weeks on offense and I don’t expect that to change. Claypool makes a bigger impact. And the Lions are the Lions until they are no longer the Lions. Bears Win!

Adam Hoge (3-6) — Bears 33, Lions 24

In a matchup between two bad defenses, the Bears simply have the best player on the field. Justin Fields should be enough to get the win in another fun offensive football game.

Nicholas Moreano (3-6) — Bears 30, Lions 24

To me, this is shaping out to be another high-scoring game at Soldier Field. The Lions may have held Aaron Rodgers to nine points last week, but Detroit has still given up the fourth-most points in the NFL. The Bears also can’t stop anybody defensively. So, it comes down to the quarterback, and I’m not betting against Justin Fields. Bears end their two-game losing streak and get their first win in the division

Carmen Vitali (6-3) — Bears 31, Lions 16

I think the Bears’ offense continues its upward trajectory, recognizing the opportunity they have in front of them in the next few games. They have a real chance to stack a couple of wins before they run into the Eagles and Bills in consecutive weeks next month.

Corey Wootton (5-4) — Bears 34, Lions 31

Justin Fields continues his explosive plays with his legs and improves in the passing game taking some shots deep. Our defense is going to struggle stopping the run but it will come down to the wire with Fields and the Bears having the go-ahead score to win.

Kevin Kaduk (5-4) — Bears 27, Lions 17

For all the good vibes the past month, the Bears have still dropped five of their last six. That changed with a feel-good win on the lakefront on Sunday.

Jake Flannigan (5-4)  —  Bears 27, Lions 16

The best quarterback in the division continues to thrive, while the defense shows great improvement in a dominant home win.
